Flexibind image layer

Post by AnnieMashon »

With Flexibind on vector layers, I can get that nice ropey look, when I have points along the "arm" or whatever. The the Webinar for 9.5 had an example of using Flexibind for image layers, and it had that ropey look.
When I try it, I get sharp corners, but I cannot add points like in a vector layer.

What is my misunderstaning?
Can I get what I am looking for in an image later?
What should the bone strength be for flexibones?

Shown below is what I saw in the Webinar, and below that is what I see.

Without seeing the file, I would guess that your bone strengths are too high. You want the strength regions to be just big enough to cover the artwork.

Try different bone strength settings. More and shorter bones help as well.

(It's easy to create a chain of very short bones with the help of the grid. First create the chain, then drag and turn the first bone to put it in place.)
