You can't "copy/paste" images into Moho.

You must create an image layer in Moho and select the image you want.

Or just drag your image into Moho’s viewport.
Moho will ask you how you would like to use your image,
either Tracing-Image or New-Image-Layer.
Choose New-Image-Layer and you’re done.

ok, i got it in2 moho, but I want to make it so that i can select it and it can move, and I can apply bones to it. i have a torso that i drew and some legs, and i want the legs to run while connected to the torso. how do i do that with an image i drew outside moho?

and can I apply a background created outside moho?

You need to put the image layer into a bone layer.

Add bones to the bone layer to control the image layer.

Don't even try to use region binding on an image layer... ick. Unless that is the effect you want... ick.

You would use flexible binding for the bones controling an image to get smooth distortions.

If the images are in "pieces" like a separate head, neck, arms, legs, etc... then you can just bind the image to a bone...

..OR... as I have been experimenting with lately... use both!

I put an image in a sub bone layer with flexible binding... say... for the whole arm... then... put that bone layer inside another bone layer and bind it to a bone in that bone layer.

I can control the broad movements of the whole arm with the "outer" bone layer... and smaller bending of the elbow with the "inner" bone layer.

This somewhat eliminates that "every bone moves something" syndrome. Plus... I can mix in some vector layers that use region binding (the "outer" bone layer).

I do this whole thing with vector layers as well.

ok, i understand it now sorta, but i'v come across another problem.
I can only look at one layer or the other. I assume that each body segment needs a different layer, so iv done that, but the white background hides the other layer like a mask. Is there a way to join parts of a layer so that i can get all of the body parts in the layers to move together. I want my whole character to be in one layer, how do i do that? and how do i eliminate that annoying white background he is on the hides everything behind it?

AND THE bone is glued to the layer. when i move the spine, the entire white background i want deleted bends with it.

Did you complete the Moho supplied tutorials? A lot of the questions you are asking here are covered in the tutorials. Tutorial 4 specificly goes through the steps of animating an image cutout style.

In Moho, just click on Help > Help... and you should have a browser window open with the Moho Help wher you can find all the tutorials. The files are stored under your Moho installation folder/directory in the Tutorials dir.

I read the tutorials, but I dont have an application that enable transparency. All i got is appleworks that saves in photoshop format. I want moho to make all white pixels (255, 255, 255) transparent. Isn't there a button or something that does that?

From Appleworks save as PNG,
from the PNG-Options drop-down choose Millions of Colours +.
The plus (+) will give you the alpha-channel (transparent background).
