Anime Studio Pro Help

Post by anodyne03 »

For some reason the Sorenson Video Codec has disappeared from my render options. Can anyone help? Also if anyone knows the best render option for eventual iphone conversion I would really appreciate it. I animate at 480x320 then I (used to) render with sorenson video and edit and convert in Final Cut Express. Thanks- Matt

Well, I guess, the Sorenson Video Codec has become obsolete...?

In Anime Studio choose from the Presets, e.g. NTSC 720 x 540
and create your projects in that size...
For Export choose "Apple Intermediate Codec" or "Animation"...

Import those projects into Final Cut Express using “Easy Setup”
e.g. DV-NTSC 720 x 480 for editing...

Export from Final Cut Express using QuickTime conversion...
From the Format drop-down choose iPhone and Save...

You can still use Sorenson Video & Sorenson Video 3 codecs if you go to System Preferences>Quicktime>Advanced and check "Show legacy encoders." From that point on, these and some other older codecs will appear in your Quicktime exporting options.
