Deemed Pathetic - Animated Series

Post by wolldo »

Hi,
I'm starting a new animated series with my friends that will premiere on the web first, and will hopefully get picked up by a television network sometimes soon. We're only 15 years old, so it may not be that great, but it's just what we're into.

We've bought Anime Studio Pro and have already worked on a mini-series of Internet Shorts that last about 1-2 minutes and are finishing this up soon (the Internet Shorts were created by me, all by myself in the timespace of two-four hours per night, start to finish). However, the Internet shorts were easy to make cause we just animated a heap of demo files.

We're working on our final episode for the Internet Shorts and are also working on the tv series (full 20 minute episodes) and are using Adobe Illustrator to draw the characters.

We have a website up: http://www.deemedpathetic.com and are currently trying to make it more public. Some of the Internet Shorts might be offensive to some viewers, and are not appropriote for kids under the age of 14.

We're hoping to start on our first episode soon, but for now we're on holidays.
Thank you.

Too much course language and subject matter without being funny. (I'll leave the demo characters alone for now.) Great to see kids animating, but I wouldn't watch a second one of those. Even with much better characters and animation, the story content is very lacking, IMO.

Story is very important in animation.

Brand-New Episode

Post by wolldo »

Okay, I listened to your feedback, and I made a new episode over the weekend that has a bit of a storyline - an intro, a problem, a solution (sorta). I also drew my own characters and exported them into Anime Studio Pro.

Please go to either

www.deemedpathetic.com
or

and tell me what you think. I really need your comments, thank you!

Oh, and it may be offensive to some viewers, as it rips on ANZAC Day which was yesterday in australia.

EDIT: Oh, and please reply back with your comments, I really wanna know what everyone thinks so far. Thanks!

Better. The language was at least used to express anger, and the characters were original. Not very entertaining, but I'm not familiar with Anzac Day, so it is possible I'm missing the joke.

Still needs more effort put into the animation though.

ANZAC day commemorates the service of New Zealand and Australian veterans of World War I and II.
