The Birth of Christ is FINISHED!

Post by spoooze! »

Hello!
Just wanted to tell everyone that my "short" film 'The Birth of Christ' is complete!
http://www.freewebs.com/jtn1989/boc.htm

I hope you all will find this movie enjoyable, I enjoyed working on it and am mostly satisfied with the result. There are a few things animation-wise I am not happy with but overall I am pleased with how the voice acting and most of the animation turned out.

Enjoy and thank you to everyone who supported the film! I'm showing it at my church on Sunday so I'll tell everyone how it goes!

James 8)

P.S.
I am now starting on 'Lucky Bob's Time Machine 2' :D

I do plan to continue it but not right away. I'm gonna finish up a few more projects first.

Updates:

I made some minor but noticable changes to the vid. Nothing major but they are noticable if you've seen the first version.

The voice work is professional. Especially the narrator, but everyone was great. Are you guys open to acting in other people's stuff? Also great job on pacing, even tho the story is familiar it kept my interest all the way thru. Never got a chance to see the original version, what exactly did you change?

Mostly everything has a professional feel about it(directing/acting), the only thing I would suggest is beef up the art/animation and you could be getting a show for broadcast somewhere.

I agree with Darthfurby too..the timing is very good. it is not sped through like a lot of stuff. storytelling and 'breathing' in the setting and mood is equally important..even more so than animating perfectly - in my opinion

I got all my voice actors from this forum:
http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/index.php?

I can give you the websites of the actors, I'm sure they will be happy to act in your stuff:

http://dreamgate.studentenweb.org/
(narrator, his name is Domien de Groot)

http://lila-atherley.com/
(Voice of Mary)

I'll find more later. I gotta go to work.

Thanks for the comments!

I'm actually working on creating a musical Hiya Animation Christmas special starring Lucky Bob and friends.

Okay, voice actors:

http://dreamgate.studentenweb.org/
(Narrator, his name is Domien de Groot, there is a "Contact Us" page that will give you his email)

http://lila-atherley.com/
(Lila Atherly, voice of Mary)

http://www.sgacreative.com/
(Steve Anderson, voice of Gabriel and misc. voices)
Never got a chance to see the original version, what exactly did you change?
I changed the verse at the beginning ("for unto us a Child is born") and I cut out a big portion of the scene where Herod orders the male children to be killed.
