So we have an announcement to say there is a coming announcement and that is an announcement that MOHO is coming soon and stay tuned for an announcement.
I'm glad they're finally about to release 13, but after waiting so long for it, I find the little tease announcements mildly annoying :-/ Just release it already! *sigh*
I Agree 100% I feel this style of building hype just annoys people more than anything, and to make matter worse Moho's core audience has been being a tease for almost a year.
I get what they are doing, which is to create a buzz and make people hype, but I think a sizzle reel with a glimpse of some new features and a date would have been more effective.
Regardless I'm really happy for version 13 and further development for MOHO... I had my money waiting to buy this since last year hurry up already lol.

They are saying "the all in one animation software" and that slogan makes me wonder if they are working more on the FBF side of Moho to be more "all-in-one".
That slogan has been used previously.
Toon Boom I also use it in the past.
Porcierto already this Harmony17 released.
The team of Moho was expected to release mold13 after Harmony17 ?? .....

What do you think ??
Oh that's right. I'm overthinking.
Harmony 17 feels like Harmony 16.1 to me.
Probably because, technically speaking, this isn't an official Smith-Micro forum. That said, since this is the closest we currently have to an 'official' Moho forum, I guess it may seem a little odd. It could be an oversight or it could simply be that, after the restructuring, Moho's marketing dept never got an account here. Or, maybe they have other plans. (Now, I'm totally speculating of course.)
Anyway...so Moho 13 is coming...yay!
There, it's been announced.

Wow, I've never seen such a slow trickle of information for a pre-release announcement. Smith Micro's Moho/Anime Studio advertising campaigns have always felt amateurish, but so far this one takes the cake.

Yeah, the teaser they showed today on Instagram only highlighted some new 3D texturing and lighting features, but I paused the video in various spots to see what else might be new in the interface, and I didn't really see anything obvious :-/ There might be more there I just couldn't see though. We'll find out soon enough, I suppose.

That's what thousands of people across the world did today, including myself. And I personally see that my enthusiasm is fading away with every new facebook post of theirs. I wouldn't say that this way of advertising is really efficient, at least for me.

Nah, same here. I was super stoked when the first post popped up and then incredibly disappointed by the second. At this point, I'm finding it hard to care. Which sucks.
Honestly I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed. I wouldn't expect anything game changing like better vector drawing tools, bitmap drawing tools, or better fbf features. I feel this update will focus on very little things with the 3D being the main highlight.
Yes, expectations are high, especially after this long period of waiting for a new version.
But this movie says nothing about what might changed in the motor of the software. I didn't expect the interface to be changed or anything so obvious.
My plan is to keep my expectations high and then cry in the shower if it's dissapointing.
We can see they are making this prerelease teasing period with the features, and it makes sense to me that they show the news in order of less important to more important, and I'm really interested in this 3D feature so it's a good start to me. Its true that looking at the interface it seems like this is the only thing they added but that wouldn't make sense. I want to believe.
Its because the new team is mostly programmers consist of no actual animators.. That's why keep expectations super low the team developing the software currently really have little to no animation experience.
