Humbly introducing myself
Hello,
I'd like to make an introduction of myself.
I am a children's television producer since, well, about 15 years or so...
- but when it comes to animation I'm a total newbie, just starting out.
For a long time I have been interested in 2D animation and especially in finding ways to produce "good enough" stuff for broadcasting purposes
a) quickly and b) on limited budget. Moho seems to provide the right possibilities for this.
I am more intrested in story than in fancy artwork and I am aiming at using simplistic characters and drawing styles. Hopefully I will learn to animate these simple characters in a good way some day too.
(Heh, that sounded good, didn't it? "Simplistic characters" - the real reason why I have to keep it simple is that I just can't draw very well!! )
This is my first attempt at a 2 minute piece. "Affe and the sun" is aimed at 6-7 year old kids. This is what Affe looks like:
affe_balansakt.swf
You can watch the video at zippyvideos from the links below. The soundtrack is made in swedish but I put some english subtitles on it to make it understandable. Apologies for my english, it is far from perfect.
Comments are welcome.
This is a short clip, if you want a taste of what it is like:

And this is the whole piece:

(EDIT 31 jan 2007: this one is removed from server! ...sorry...)
regards

Are there any other serious children's producers out there?

Yeah really good in simplicissity and a good story for the audience.
Also i liked that the character could do anything he wanted, like travveling around the sun with help of the earth. Good for kids, really.
You can of course improve your drawings, outlines and some closeups but not bet for a new user. Good Job.
Ah, yeah... and... good luck.

Yeah, maybe even a little overambitious...! The goal when I started was to make two and half minutes animation in one and a half week production time, including everything, script, sound, animation, editing...jahnocli wrote:This is an ambitious project for a Moho newbie!
I think I (nearly) kept my schedule, too. THANKS to Moho's user friendliness and fast learning curve!
Oh yes, there is MUCH room for improvement! Tell me about it!mr.blaaa wrote:You can of course improve your drawings, outlines and some closeups but not bet for a new user. Good Job.
Thanks for your feedback, jahnochli and mr. blaaa

Thanks for all the nice words, jordanek, Green Walls and bupaje. Maybe I will make something public here again in a couple of years when I've learned a little more about animation too...!
Whaaat..!? Is it possible? I think I have found a new soulmate!!!
