Is Random Looping (Cycling ) possible?

Post by kaboom »

I'd like to cycle a layer with random actions. For example my eyes layer I want to alternate between blinking, looking left and looking right randomly for the length of my videos. Is there functionality to randomize these actions or do I have to manually set up my looping?

Not inside AS.

In older Versions of AS it was possible to use a .dat file which controlled a switch layer. I'd use some scripting to randomize the options over time, then feed that file into AS.

Do .dat files work in recent AS versions?

If you have AS pro, there is a script that allows a DAT. file to activate actions. This would make it easy to set-up your various actions and then use the dat. file to insert them into the timeline. It would appear to be random then.
