LM Stitch Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I play back my panoramas?
Most panoramic stitching applications are intended for creating virtual-reality-like
realtime walkthroughs. In this situation, only a portion of the panorama is displayed
corresponding to the direction you are looking, and you can move the mouse to look
around the panoramic space. While this can be an interesting use of panoramas, we feel
that panoramas are actually more interesting and attractive when viewed in their
entirety. (Plus, it's very hard to find a location with 360 degrees of interesting
scenery. Most panoramas only have about 180 degrees that are worth photographing.)
Therefore, we developed LM Stitch with the purpose of creating attractive still
panoramic photos, rather than an interactive multimedia experience. LM Stitch has
no "playback" option.
Does LM Stitch support QuickTimeVR?
No, LM Stitch is not intended to create interactive panoramas. It is mainly meant to be used
to create wide-angle photos that would be impossible to shoot with a normal lens.
