COLOR PICKER/EYEDROPPER

Hi,

What I'd REALLY like in AS is a COLOR PICKER. I get tired of switching between Photoshop, copying the colour code for a colour I want, then going back to AS, opening the color menu, and pasting the code in there.

Instead, a simple EYEDROPPER tool is almost a MUST HAVE ITEM for the software.

Is there a separate script for this?

In the meantime, try GetColor You can quickly copy RGB codes to the clipboard, and then Ctrl-V into Anime Studio's colour thing. Brilliant!

Something similar is built in in Mac OS X (DigitalColor Meter).

Rasheed, I just tried the osx inbuilt color meter but if I copy something and past it in as I get the wrong color, I've tried with all different sttings in color meter but with no luck. What settings do you use?

RGB 8 bit hex value. Paste into the # box of AS Color picker, and delete the starting "# and ending " characters, so you get something like

Code: Select all

FFCCFF
Another (quick and dirty) method in Mac OS X is to take a screenshot in PNG and import that as a custom swatch image into AS. Then you can pick your colors as you like it. If you have trouble selecting the correct pixel, magnify the screen, either with Command Option + combo, or (under OS X 10.4.8 ) using the scroll wheel in combination with the Control key. Of course, you need to enable Universal Access in System Preferences for screen magnification to work.
