Full control over our drawing ?

How can we speed up our drawing/creating characters and props and backgrounds..etc
In my experience we can draw at high speed by using control ,alt keys...by smooth and sharp corners. We can also use short cut keys...
we can also use hide edges to make two shapes as single...or use a shape without outline as patch....
these are my observations regarding these
please share your evolved ideas here for high speed drawing workflow
