DVD-Rom repaired! Hooray!!! :D

Post by mr. blaaa »

I just wanted to say that iam happy: i repaired my DVD-Rom/DVD+RW devices.

Those guys from Adaptec r all evil!

I uninstalled "Adaptec Easy CD Creator", which is really whack, yesterday.
Today all my DVD-Devices where error code 31 and i couldnt repair them.

I took the hardware in and out, switched the jumpers, rebooted about 1000 times, reinstalled the drivers for those actually plug-and-play-devices.

This took me 6 (!!!) hours i wanted to spend with moho.

Damn it! Those guys from adaptec are guilty of a crime against humanity!!!
My work! Arghhh! I cant say how setted up i am... "words can't describe".

BTW: The uninstallation of the software mentioned above caused a serious error in my registry. They wrecked up my registry! What a ***** company they are!!

Okay... Now 03:34 post meridem it's time to go to bed after such an upsetting waste of time...

I hope you guys never get such a problem

Mr. Blaaa, are you commenting on your own threads now? It must get lonely in the middle of nowhere

Reindert.

PS. I do agree, it seems the bigger the company the more intrusive the installers. Like they are the only program on your system.

EZ CD Creator is like a plague. Over the years I've seen a number of "step-by-step"s on how to do this almost impossible thing. I've had lot's less trouble getting rid of viruses. I feel for ya.

The only thing from them I might have on my computer is their ASPI layer drivers, but not the newest one and sure as hell nothing else. I've known a few who got so frustrated they just gave up and did a clean install. I don't know how they could ever justify something so broken. Unless, of course, it's some mad scientist plan to keep anyone from ever using anyone elses software...

Yeah as me, Ramón and Nobudget are suspicious of more and more EVIL COMPANIES rising i already suggested to make a BLACKLIST to protect the community :D
