My friend Matt created this animation. It's not for the squeemish :D
A nod to John Carpenter's The Thing.

I think it was a nod to the movie "Sliver"

Slither you mean? I think that was influenced by Carpenter's film, which was of course a remake in itself :D

Matt is making quite a good living from YouTube and freelance work. He makes more films and faster than anyone I know!

I liked it (except for the blinking, that was a bit weird).

Reminded me of the Lego game animations.

Haha, that was very funny because that's how I met Matt. We both worked on the Lego video game animations together. I sat next to him :D

No, not quite that movie. It had spike coming out of the victim body if he touch the alien spikey thing! The survivor was hole up in a garage station trying to keep the spikey alien monster outside.

I know that movie. It was called Splinter. Had the guy from Joey in it. I think that makes two of us who saw that. :)

I think Matt's animation is definitely inspired by the John Carpenter Thing, not Splinter.

I was banging my head trying to come up with the right title!
Thanks for relieving me head!

That is a very nicely made little horror piece. I'm really interested to know, though, how does one make a living from youtube?

I will have to speak to Matt to get the correct terminology but all I know is that certain people, who got lots of 'hits' on their video's, were contacted by YouTube and offered quite a lot of money to create so many video's a year. Presumably this was based upon the estimated advertising revenue?
