hi, i am new to the software, this may sound stupid, i tried to make a fill shape with holes, i follow every step in the user manual but couldn't do it. the furthest i reach is selecting the curve of the exterior shape and the interior one, then the hole just doesn't appear. what did i do wrong?
thanks a lot for your help!
newbie problem: making fill shape with hole

Be sure that the curves are continuous. It is not the first time that you could create two very close points that are not glued.
To verify that you can create the outer shape by selecting ony the external curve (delete it) then repeat the same with the internal. If you can create both as individuals you can create the hole.
Having crosing lines from one side to other of one of the shapes is cause of problems too.

Recently was created a new thread for indexing manual errors and weakness, maybe you would like to share there what you have found:Mavent wrote:Thanks! It's too bad the Manual can't be bothered to explain things like that.slowtiger wrote:When you create the two shapes make sure you have un-checked "auto fill" on top of the project window.
