I just downloaded the new Moho 5.4 yesterday and opened up a moho-file I created with the previous version. Now all my jpeg backgrouds seem to be scrambled by Moho both in preview and in the final rendering. The pictures are quite large (11MB for a panoramic scene) but they worked fine in 5.3.
I made a screenshot and left it in the screen resolution for better viewing the effect.

I am using a G4 powerbook with 1 GHz, 768 MB Ram and OS 10.4.6 (ATI 9600)
Since I need to be continuing my work I will be switching back to the previous Moho in the meantime.
