I’m sorry if this is covered somewhere. I’m probably just wording it wrong.
I lined up an animation of a sign growing between my hands and then being crumpled up. I can’t get good quality of original live footage through AS, so I want to export the animated sign only, and then edit it into the live footage through another software. I swear I’ve done it before, but I can’t get rid of the BG color. How can I export just that layer (the sign) and have everything else be in alpha?

Hopefully this will help:
AVI: uncompressed / do not premultiply alpha channel
QT: uncompressed / do not premultiply alpha channel / millions of colors + <<< nb the +
PNG sequence: (just export)

Re: Exporting an Animated Object without Background
Thank you for the reply. It was the "do not multiply alpha channel" that got me. I looked at that box and thought, "No, that's the opposite of what I want."
thanks again
