Finally ground out a test cartoon, trying to fiddle with all aspects of anime studio. No sound right now, but I'll shove that in later.
Quite a difference from flash, and worked pretty fast once I figured out how to flow through things. My only complaint would be the lack of a scenes tool. Currently compositing mutiple scenes in one movie (and switch layer) since I don't have a movie editor.

Nice animation...liked the way your character is moving

Can I suggest you Sony Vegas Movie Studio?
It's very cheap (about 35$) and offers you a lot of tools for your movies.
Anyway, why the resolution is so low?

Resolution is so low because I have a cheap laptop, and full resolution strains my computer greatly.

Re: What a learning process
