Hey Gilles
About compositing/editing software...i think Sony vegas pro is better than
adobe after effects.Sony Vegas has inbuilt stereo options .Sony Vegas is editing software...still i think it is better for stereo outputs
however your video tutorial project is great bliss for beginners and even advanced user. Please proceed.
Please coment on Vegas vs aftereffects.

Hello aji.
I cannot comment on Sony Vegas as I never used it.
My goal is to make my videos available to as many peoples as possible, so I will either go with After Effects, as it is the most used, or a free compositing software, no sure yet.
Thanks for your input though!

Newbie Interested in compositing AS8 drawings w video
I'm a newbie just learning.
I read some of the chapter titles and would be interested in
A. compositing AS8 animations w real people on video, ala "Roger Rabbit"
B. the 2D as basic 3D background techniques (mapping photos of textures)
C. SFX techniques, non-traditional (how'd they do that?)
Instructional material can sometime be "dry / analytical" or the opposite - too much flash, but no instruction. I saw some by "Pop Too", which I like his "energy" but may lose some people.javascript:emoticon('')
thanks,
Mray
PS: I am NOT interested in "stereo-3D" as it is limiting for my purposes.
Also saw some examples by "DutchWorkingMan" that are amazing on his ytube channel.

animation course
i just purchased as 8pro and from viewing your blog and such i will definitely be on the lookout for your tutorial dvd any timeframe on shipping date? and will it use paypal? thanks and look forward to purchasing your product
Well hello again!
It will be during the month of October, no definitive date yet.
And yes, Paypal so far, but other venues may be looked at in the next few weeks!
And thank you all for your support.
Btw, the only reason I am thinking of asking an amount of money for this is because the donations thing did not bring much, and I need to justify the amount of time needed to make these video tutorials.

Hello all!
My video set is well on the way now.
Here is the listing for it so far, if anyone think I missed something or if anyone has suggestions then please go ahead and post them, thanks!
I will also be posting the animations from the set on my blog in the next couples of days, so keep an eye open!
Also, the set will be available for pre-order with a reduced price, probably today, so check my blog later on if interested!

Hello Ray.
First, thanks for pre-ordering it!
And yes, I will post images and videos as soon as next week, and will post more as they come along.
Also, there is still time if any of you would like some features to be part of the set, like someone asked for a tutorial on making joints and I thought it was a great subject, so I incorporated it on the to do list.

Stupid question Gilles. Can I pay by credit card and not setup a paypal account?
I guess I could wait till I get to a computer instead of this phone to find out. I have never had nor will ever have a paypal account so no idea if they will take payment with setting up some stupid account that I need to remember the password for.
