Call for Tutorials

Post by Fahim »

NOTE FROM BELGARATH: This offer is no longer valid. This post is still here solely for archival purposes.

Hi Folks,

I'd like to collect some introductory tutorials to put up on the e frontier Anime Studio site and I'd like them to be user driven.

http://www.e-frontier.com/go/animestudio/tutorials

The following topics are the ones I'd like to post up.

-Basic drawing
-Basic bones
-Basic animation
-Importing and manipulating images
-Audio
-Basic Lip synching
-Particle effects
-Script writing for AS Pro
-How to become an animator

So, if you have any tutorials you'd like to submit, please feel free to let me know what topic you're interested in discussing. I'll let you know if anyone else has selected it . And if not, then you can create it and send them my way. You can do so via email to fahim@e-frontier.com. If there's a topic that isn't covered here and that you'd like to write about, then please let me know about it.

I'll make sure to give authors full credit for their tutorials and provide external links to their websites and such.

Just remember to keep them focused on beginners and video clips and images will be great. Camtasia based tutorials are the most ideal.

As a token of our appreciation, each person who submits a tutorial that is posted online will receive access to a free copy of Manga Studio 3.0 EX or Poser 7, or Shade 8 or Amapi.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email at fahim@e-frontier.com.

Thanks again everyone.

we want advanced stuff

Post by Phatthumb »

its cool that you want to do this, but alot of that stuff is shown on the AS tutorials. I would love to see the good stuff. Something that would make my toons look professional. You know, "make me scream like a 16 year old girl at an N'sync concert". I find myself having to "invent" ways to get this program to do what I want everytime I make a new toon.

You should check out stuff by the professionals of AS. There's Darth Furby, Grey Kids, Genete, Heyvern, and many more.

I know it's been a while since the original post here, but by now it's time for some AS7 tutorials.

I hope these help some of the newbies.

I get a failed delivery on the e mail link included with this post... It did however suggest Camtasta which I checked out and now have on my computer and it works very well... hey was that the point of this original post to begin with? a subliminal sales pitch for Camtasta? touche! It worked!

This is no longer valid

The e frontier domain is no longer valid (e frontier America was bought out back in 2007), and as Genete mentioned, Fahim hasn't been with the product for a few years now, so this deal is no longer valid.

Dutch tutorials for anime studio

Post by cuebit »

Hi All,

It's been a while since my last post but i'm glad to be back.
Last weeks i've been busy with an anime studio (6) tutorial blog that i use for my teaching position in Rotterdam.

You can find it on www.lerenanimeren.com

There are several lessons available and it's not completely done yet. The tutorial videos are followed by some basic information about general animation techniques like movement, keyframes etc.
I'ts only in Dutch but maybe you can learn from it.

Regards,

Maarten
