A place to discuss non-Moho software for use in animation. Video editors, audio editors, 3D modelers, etc.

Clip Studio Paint exports SVG now

Post by exile »

With the update 1.10 SVG can be copied and pasted as well as exported. One of the big restrictions of Clip Studio was that vectors could be used internally for line drawings but only exported as bitmaps. Might improve exchange between Moho and Clip Studio. I’m interested in what advanced users of both programs - does not apply to me - report on this.

I wasn't aware of that. I normally draw all my comics using Clip Studio Paint's vector tools so I'll give it a try sometime.

My one concern is that CSP's vector tools generate an awful lot of points because the tool is designed for precision and editability, and it's not optimized for animation. But if all I want is to freehand fully scaleable artwork with greater accuracy than Moho's Freehand tool, and the art isn't going to be deformed with bones, this might be the way to go.

Thanks for the tip!
