Re: Pin bones for Pupils

This leads to a second question though. When I use the Manipulate Bones [Z] tool , it just offsets the bone from the geometry and leaves the geometry [pupil] behind even though it is bound to that bone. The pupil doesn't follow. Alternative eye rig? : if you have a better way to control the pupils,...

Re: Pin bones for Pupils

Manipulate Bones is for controlling IK, so it only rotates. Normally, you use this to pose the skeleton and work Smart Bone Dials. (Tip: you can switch this tool to FK mode by holding Alt, which is useful for posing arms.) To move a bone, you want to use Transform Bone. The shortcut is to tap T. To ...

Re: Eye rig- making lids invisible?

There are many ways to do this. Here are a handful of suggestions... - If the item is in its own layer, keyframe the layer's visibility. This is what I usually do. - If the item is in the same layer as the rest of the eye, keyframe the alpha for the Style. - Enable Animated Shape Order and hide the ...

Re: Best way to pass an object from one character to another character

I agree with SlowTiger. That's the easiest and most controllable way to do it in Moho.

If the first character is tossing it in the air, you may want to make a third object so its motion path isn't affected until it's 'caught' by the second character.

Re: Mesh grid messes with my image

It might have to do with how you are animating the points in the grid. Even though quads are now valid for mesh warping, they don't work for every situation. Try tripling the squares using the Triangulate command and see if that helps. (But make a copy of your project first.) Note that you can mix a...

Re: Lost Scripts' Shapes Window (**New** BETA 3) for Moho 14.1 Pro

Re-ordering shapes with up/down arrow buttons becomes very slow if the vector layer contains too many shapes. I found that re-ordering shapes works best if theres like 4-(8?) shapes on a vector layer. If you have Point-Based Selection (PBS) enabled, switch it off. As discussed the other day, Shapes...

Re: Stage is crooked, how to make straight?

To add to Neeter's suggestions, check the Camera Roll. If the Roll value is anything other than 0-deg, hit the reset button. Also, check for any keyframes so you don't add motion when you do this.

Whoops! I deleted my post because I didn't read the original post carefully enough, and my reply was irrelevant. Nothing to see here. :)

Love the retro look! Reminds me of old DePatie-Freleng cartoons.

Good luck with the Webinar, Joel! :)

Re: Zoom and Track icons

A compass? That's such an awful an idea, it can't be right. The plus symbol looks nothing like a compass. What I meant was that I think it represents the crosshair 'compass' in the middle of the Moho Workspace indicating X and Y directions... https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/bsf3g3ncrvajhco2ljzet/cro...

Re: Downloading old versions of Moho

I haven't started any major projects yet so perhaps I'll look into upgrading to 13.5 or even 14. Again thanks to all I believe can still update Moho 13.0 to 13.5 for free...your serial number should work with it. Just be sure it's registered with Lost Marble. If you run into an issue with that, con...

Re: Lost Scripts' Shapes Window (**New** BETA 3) for Moho 14.1 Pro

I wondered if I might be pushing Shapes Window beyond its intended use. :P Anyway, please don't worry about it. I was working on what had to be the most complicated setup I've done in Moho, and your tool was an enormous help for managing and editing the stacking order for many shapes in many layers....

Re: Zoom and Track icons

For Track Camera, instead of a confusing plus sign, use a left and right arrow. <---> I believe the 'plus' sign is meant to be a compass, indicating lefl-right (X-pos) and up-down movements (Y-pos). The tool also does forward-backward (Z), of course, but I'll give them a pass on that since it's an ...

Re: Lost Scripts' Shapes Window (**New** BETA 3) for Moho 14.1 Pro

Awesome! Thank you, Daxel! I switched the native Select Shape hotkey (Q) to A Evseeva's mod and it works great! Workflow could be smoother, but it does the job: 1. Select the point group using Select Points Tool's Select Group. 2. Press Q to activate A Evseeva's Select Shape. 3. Click the Select Fro...
