have you tried using the papagayo application? it's not completely automated and it takes a bit more work to set up your mouth, but I've been happy with the results!

This was a rejected Adult Swim pitch. I don't normally do fbf, but I wanted to see if I even still knew how to animate like that. Moho obviously isn't the best program for that, but I still had a good time putting this together.

It's worth noting that the project I was working on contained a lot of frame by frame animation. I chalked the lag up to having so many layers/frames. And I was using a textured brush.
