Re: Looking for ways to make breathing textures.
Sometimes the solution is so simple one should just uninstall their OS and go outside. Thanks.

Looking for ways to make breathing textures.
I am new to animation, and I am in the process of making a 4 second video I intend to convert into a looping gif. I am looking for ways to make breathing textures. Tutorials, or if anyone has tips. Here is an example of a test render for the background. Right now I have a visualizer video imported t...

Re: Most effective layer to animate horse walking/running?
Instead of tracing the image frame by frame, I recommend you to check which are the important keys of the movement and trace them at first (or use them as reference), because, if you trace the movement frame by frame, you probably will get a very shaky unnatural movement. Once you identify and use ...

Re: Guyer93's video tutorials
So far I've made it to the eye ones, and it's still relevant, a bit different but I made a comment below yours on a difference I picked up on the eyes.. I'll post more as I go through them if I find some more.Pinesal wrote:Are these tutorials still relevant to the new versions of ASP?

Re: Most effective layer to animate horse walking/running?
you can do it with bones, probably easiest... get a good reference of the key positions like then create a bone rig and put them in the positions of the image (move the image for each reference) Sometimes I forget I can bring an image in AS and then just use the frames as reference. Apparently I li...

Re: Most effective layer to animate horse walking/running?
I don't have a tutorial at hand, but you should check the Animator's survival kit by Richard Williams. Also, here's an interesting old thread about horses: http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11208 Cool, thanks for this. I planned on looking all this stuff up, but before I started I jus...

Most effective layer to animate horse walking/running?
So i've looked at tutorials for it, but is it possible to do it with bone rigs? I started trying with that but it didn't turn out so well. Or should I make the frames of the horses legs and use switch layers, or frame by frame?

Re: Guyer93's video tutorials
When following the eye tutorials I noticed something different when you move the bone rigs. In your video you can transform them and move them around, in the new version you have to hold alt(option on mac) or else they only tilt from side to side. I've never used the older versions so I can't say if...

Re: How do I make points rounded?
On my computer the canvas splat still looks rounded. Sometimes I see just a little difference between the canvas and rendered but nothing to the extreme they are experiencing. I can get this result with GPU acceleration enabled, but it is smooth with it disabled. Same here i just tried this and it ...

Re: How do I make points rounded?
Your screenshot shows the timeline playing. AS shows a lower quality in an attempt to get real-time playback. It will be smooth when you render an animation...or even use the arrow key to play the timeline. Yes you are right, it does work when I render it, and did work when I would move the arrow k...

Re: How do I make points rounded?
Can't you just select all points and do a Ctrl-M? Or do I not understand what you are trying to do? On frame 0 I draw a circle using free hand. Then pull points out at say frame 30 to make the smooth splat. When I play it back, the rounded splats become pointed. I tried that, but it doesn't smooth ...

Re: How do I make points rounded?
No, when I draw a circle and pull the points on it out on pause, it shows them as rounded like in the picture, but when I try to animate the splat, all of those curves become pointed at the ends where I pulled it out. Each arm on that splat is just 1 point being pulled out on the circle. I was sayin...

How do I make points rounded?-Solved
Crosspost from How do I? Disclaimer: New to animation! So I was drawing and I found out a cool way to make a quick "splat." What I do is draw a circle with the freehand tool, so it has points all around it. Then I take the transform points tool and pull individual points out and when it's ...
