Re: CRAZY RACE

The art directions and overall feel of the project is terrific. Looks very professional, and looks like a crew of people worked on it. Great job!

Re: Has Anyone Used The-Tab?

Thank you Slowtiger, Psmith and janocli! I always meant to try out The-Tab for free. But of course it never hurts to ask others about their experiences. Slowtiger, what I mean by "commercial style textures" is this: I think there is a difference between how bitmap images look compared to v...

Re: Has Anyone Used The-Tab?

Slowtiger: I knew I could count on you for a quick response. Thanks for that. :) I have been using TVPaint since the Aura days. It's terrific. Regarding The-Tab, I would like to get a vector based drawing program for drawing commercial-style textures to use in Cinema 4D. As long as I am looking for ...

Has Anyone Used The-Tab?

Hi: I would like to use a program that makes hand drawn, vector animation easy to do. Pleased to see Moho 12 does frame by frame animation, but I think Moho's frame by frame interface is difficult to use. Toonboom Harmony is too expensive, and Opentoonz is still not reliable. Has anyone used The-Tab...

Re: Hi, boys and girls! An old fart needs a mentor of ANY ag

Hi: I am in the same boat as you. Formerly wonderful, now old and irrelevant, felt like I could not draw... Just kidding! You CAN draw. And learning to do it is the fastest way toward developing some Moho characters of your own. May I recommend this book? It's called Mark Kistler's Imagination Stati...

DK- Starjerks is a lot of fun. "All hands on deck!" Liked the Ambassador, and the fact that Jabba looked Ronald McDonald. Nice job.

Actually I use Toon Boom now. I draw with paper and pencil and a lightbox, and scan the drawings into ToonBoom. It's more fun to animate that way than to push pixels around.

I use AS for special effects, and sometimes use 3DS Max for toon renders or 3-D backgrounds.

Now that I've done this, I'm not sure it is really what you want.

Sorry I can't provide screen shots, but here's what I did in AS Pro and 3ds Max 5. 1. In AS, create an animation. Use the Winston character. Do 100 frames of him moving his arms. Use BLACK as the background - very important. 2. In Quicktime, use the "Millions of colors+" to get an alpha ch...

Hey Dr Demo

Did you figure out how to do this? I can tell you if you're still interested.

Yeah, I realized that after I wrote the post.

Still, it's terrific to see someone with an underground sense make a really cool cartoon. I sent it over to Amid at Cartoon Brew.com, so if he decides to write about it, don't be surprised if you get a lot of internet traffic coming to look at your film.

This is terrific

This is easily in the top 3 movies I've ever seen that were done with Moho. The Grey Kid stuff is amazing, but this is just as good in its own way. So I'm also writing to encourage you to send this to Ottawa and Annecy and Spike and Mike and everyone else. A good source for film festival news is www...

As a boy from Indiana in the USA, I can tell you that I never get tired of hearing English accents. They may sound boring to you, but to my ears they are exotic and fun. They don't even have to be saying anything clever. The cartoon was funny. I encourage you to do something with that avatar of your...

Relax Celeryhart, With Moho and Anime Studio you can do any kind of art you like. The program will not automatically turn your art into one style or another. Look at the Moho gallery - there are several art styles there. And if you want to animate photographs, Moho/Anime Studio will do that too. Rea...
