Re: follow path

Thanks for posting the the additional info MrMiracle77. I totally forgot to mention the rotation option. :) Your post makes me want to clarify something I wrote and add something else: When I said to keep in mind that the Follow Path tool uses the layer's origin, I should have said it uses the layer...

Re: poor documentation

Hi, Welcome to Moho! As a fairly longtime Moho user, I agree, the manual/tutorials can use an overhaul. The current documentation encompass workflows dating back to very early versions of Moho and, while the info is still relevant they don't necessarily reflect currently preferred workflows. This wa...

Re: follow path

Hi, 1. Create a path in a layer. This will be the 'track' you want another layer to follow. You mentioned using the Freehand tool. That's fine but I suggest using the Add Point tool to create a cleaner path for smoother results. 2. Create another layer with the item you want to follow the path. This...

Re: Installing Custom Fonts

Sorry, I can't help but I've run into this problem with certain fonts too. I reported it to the developers a while back, some information was exchanged, but I don't think anything came of it.

I'll check my notes and see if I ever found a workaround solution.

Re: GIF colors way off

GIF is limited to 256 colors so it's never going to look the same as a full color 24-bit render (with up to 16.8 million colors.) The problem is that GIF is a crappy image format from the 1980's. :) One way you can compensate is to use the dithered option. This mixes pixels within the defined 256 co...

Re: Motion Tracking with Image Sequences

Another reason I'm adverse to using video is for some reason it really bogs the performance of Moho down for me. For some reason image sequences have far less impact on performance for me. This makes complete sense. When using a video, the entire clip needs to decompress and load in RAM. if the cip...

Re: Motion Tracking with Image Sequences

I've tried systematically selecting every different layer on different frames but the option for "Animation > Track Layer To Video" simply is not available on any of them... ...You can link group layers to the tracked layers? If you mean going to "Animation > Track Layer To Video" with the group la...

Re: Motion Tracking with Image Sequences

Just a thought: I haven't tried this but try linking a group layer to the tracked layer. This way you can easily offset whatever is inside the group to make corrections or additive animation.

Re: Motion Tracking with Image Sequences

After tracking your footage, you need to select the layer you wish to follow the tracking data by using Animation>Track To Video. A window will pop up that lets you select the tracked layer. If you have multiple tracking points, the layer can use it for rotation and, I'm assuming, scale. It's been a...

Re: *UPDATED 3/1/19* Layer Shortcuts tool

That's strange. Can you play anything from the Vimeo website?

Here's a direct link to the vimeo page: https://vimeo.com/331818695

If there is some kind of regional restriction, I don't think I can do anything about that. :(

Re: 1.6GB of free WHAT?

Yeah, I think most computer users will find SSD is fine for general everyday use, but users working daily in video editing, animation and vfx need to frequently write and re-write data and, unfortunately, an SSD is limited in how many times it can be reliably re-written to. To be fair, SSD is much m...
