Re: Advanced character animation tutorial set
Ah yes , I remember that too. Of course it happens to us all. But a deal is a deal ,and renegading on a contract with your customers ? We'd be happy if all he provided us with was a single three minute video , he still would have delivered on the deal , we are all hobbyists here to enjoy ourselves a...

Re: Is this a good way to create a complex dragon?
I've had a look , it's nice but looking at the sketches it may be a bit out of proportion on turns . My opinion , build an animation sheet , or copy your model several times and make the changes that way , use a switch layer for each angle. Take apart a gif daffy duck turning his head and you'll see...

Re: Inserting an animated gif, possible?
You can break the gif up as previously advised by other users, I would personally use Jasc-animation studio ( $89 I think) and save the individual frames as JPEGS, then use a switch layer to move between them. I've used online convert a couple of times ,for video mostly but it does also convert gifs...

Re: In which position to build characters?
I would probably recommend the 3/4 view adopted by Family Guy/ American dad etc. This is more ' in your face' than the traditional side. Switches are ideal for head turns - but I would recommend not having the lips on a seperate switch layer to the face as a lot of users do because this causes glitc...

Re: To give appeal to character... How
I'm with 3ddeguy here - a character can be incredibly complicated and unappealing or it can be basic line art and captivating - it's all down to the personality you can convey - in the words of Pele " Practice is everything.". There is a guide somewhere on the net that appears on google im...

Re: Change from 3/4 view to front view
Turns are incredible difficult. A blend morph smart bone may be best. However , if you are using switch layers it may look choppy. I can tell you that Daffy Duck has three go betweens from front to 3/4 view. This is very important - and explains why we often look a little out of sorts when we try so...

Re: gif animation directly from anime studio
I use Anime Studio for Gifs a lot. Export your file as JPEGS - then use a seperate program to compile them. There are some excellent programs out there - i use JASC animation Studio - it isn't free - around $80 but it's exceptional. There may be some open source GIF editors available -GifApp is extr...

Short clip of Roger Rabbit
I love this guy. I had to keep the file size down which impacted how much I could do - I would definately like to expand upon it. I figured Jessica wouldn't always look like she did in the movies - and there is shall we say an inconsistency when she raises her arm to smoke. http://i158.photobucket.c...

Re: Music video - charity fundraiser
Absolutely - I have hair coming over her cups - though she is an anatomically correct as a barbie doll, but a swish type movement with the bulk of her hair as she moves would really look cool. There's definately a front view, but the detail level's always a problem if one isn't very careful, she has...

The full song is 2:36 seconds long, and the sea will be animated but only a little as I don't wish to draw attention from the main action This is part ' how do I ' as I am struggling with a body turn ( interpolate sublayers prior to a switch layer between different models) bone structure below.
