Re: Fatal error occurred loading the application
And, FYI, this issue is still happening with Moho 13.5, and the solution also still works with Windows 10.

Re: Anime Studio 10 Webinar Follow-Up Questions
I am on a Mac. I got another issue and error with another mp4 rendering telling that it was dedicated to After Effects only. I will see how I can fix it in the settings of iFlicks and After effects. Thanks for the tip! Had the same issue, but go to any .mp4 file and right click to get the contextua...

Re: smart bone dials
Maybe call them "smartinfinicycleactionleverbonesdials" . . . kinda just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? :) I am partial to thingamajigs, myself. 8) I would've suggested "Thingies" -- but that's the name of my (coming after my book) comic album series. Or "nukeitfromorbit...

"tah-mot-toe" "ta-may-toe"
Here's a solution:
And the ASP zipped file:
http://www.crtoons.com/asp_renders/dial ... e.anme.zip
(or we could just call 'em Lever-dials and be done with it! )

Re: Threshold + New particle source
Kinda sneaky is how I did the eye and nose holes… First I drew a skull. Then, in display properties, I checked the box to grey out the inactive layers so I could trace the original drawing easier. Created a new layer and then drew the pieces of the skull, making sure I had some overlap. I wasn't wor...

Re: Threshold + New particle source
Here's a quickie I did using the new particle source option: L1VS1rQwjHM No masks, just 4 shapes on one layer (the source layer -- the bottommost layer in a particle group) that moves together to form a skull (just 4U HammerJammer!). Set the velocity and spread to zero and that's all. Rendered and v...

Re: smart bone dials
Any bone can be a smart bone, just add actions by hand. Giving a name to the bone, zeroing out the bone strength, turning on the label for the bone, creating an action for the bone -- all has to be done by hand. And can be prone to error as can sometimes happen when doing things manually. Smart bone...

Re: Side view walk and turn question
You may want to do a search on 'smears' -- especially if it's going to be a quick turn. This method was used a lot in analog animation and can save a bit of work. Not to mention it would irritate those spirits that must not be named.

Rombo: my bad, I hurried though some parts, so I tested it just now. Yup, it's still there and can include alpha channels, too!

V10 on Mac OS X 7.5
I was able to install and use ASP v10 on my ancient Mac Pro tower. 7.5 is the most recent OS X version that this model can use, btw. Since I was warned that there could be issues with displaying and exporting, that's what I focused on. Turned on all the display quality settings, including GPU accele...

Re: V10 is here...
Hey Hey Vern (hmm… cartoon series title… ) I understand and agree with each point you brought up. To counterpoint: I can't afford a new computer. My '06 Mac Pro (Just missed the '07 models by a matter of a month!) will just have to trudge along. At no time do I disparage any decisions that ...

Re: V10 is here...
I got the e-mail too. And when I read the system requirements my spirit sank. I have an older mac and the most recent Mac OS X version I can use is 7.5. And ASP requires no less than OS X 8.0. So I'm locked out from upgrading. Until I upgrade my hardware/desktop. I wish this "little" fact ...

Re: Color Picking from outside Anime Studio -- Mac OS X tip
Slowtiger, that widget appears only in the Dashboard part of OS X. It doesn't do anything outside the dashboard (which is a Mac OS X thing that's like it's own space that doesn't interact with the OS proper) pertaining to sampling colors. It's not a color picker in the sense that it can pick/sample ...

Color Picking from outside Anime Studio -- Mac OS X tip
Hi, this is a offshoot of the 9.5 arrgh! thread in the main discussion area. Instead of cluttering up that series of posts, I thought it may be best to start a new topic here. There's a way to sample colors from images of any kind that's not loaded up in AS/ASP. This is a method that doesn't require...
