Animating a head raise in 3/4 view is difficult to do well without frame-by-frame (heck, it's hard even with fbf) particularly a head that is this detailed. As it stands, the clip is too short to the read the action. It looks more like an anticipation squash, or a "take", before he opens h...

The animation is just okay, but I won't make any specific recommendations. Making good animation requires getting so many things right that you just have to keep working on it. I highly recommend checking out the ecritiques on the 11 Second Club to get an idea of the principles you must know to anim...

So you decided to do the King of Rot, after all? It's even more creepy than I thought! Manually adjusting all that hatching is crazy, but the final result is worth it.

Sometimes a weird style is just simply bad art, but yours is an example of an offbeat style that's cool. :)

Well done! You must be a graphic designer judging by the effective use of stong colors, contrast, and negative space. I love the falling tools...nice! And it's a great song, too! (Takes me back to the 80s. :)) You leveraged the strengths of AS very well with this video. (Did you create the backgroun...

I took the plunge. It's about $3.73 at today's exchange rate. The billing is a recurring monthly charge, but you can withdraw membership on the website at any time. The download is a time trial so the current beta release will expire on December 31st, 2009. The installer will install the Java Runtim...

Re: America's Pop Star Penalty Round: round two!

This is flat-out amazing work...the camera work, animation, lighting effect, etc.

I assume the workflow is the same as you've described in your previous thread.

Just amazing.

You was robbed, I say! :(

All the entries were good, but the winning entry did surprise me ...

Good luck on the pitch. You deserve at least that much.

Very interesting I thought it is purely Russian joke. I mean my animation is based on well known Russian joke. I actually heard this joke from a coworker back in the eighties. He told it really well (you know, with physical comedy), which is why I still remember it today. I wasn't aware of its Russ...

Because the butterfly doesn't overlap the foreground (its nose dips just behind it), it appears to be gigantic (like Mothra in the Godzilla movie). Not sure if this is your intention... I haven't used this feature yet, but I believe that you can use motion path animation on layers. The wings ...

I voted for you, but it doesn't look promising based on the highest rated list. Kind of a mixed bag of entries...cartoons, live action films...but whatever, we'll see where it goes.

Looks GREAT! One little picky comment -- in the latter half of the dance, a bit of movement of the head would have made it complete for me. Jahnocli, thanks for the suggestion. The head and facial expressions were the last things I worked on and I was so tired by then, I only added a little wave an...

Cat Girl Dances a Go-Go

Here is Neeters Miao, another character from my small press comic -- hey, neeters -- dancing the Khaki a-go-go from a Gap commercial some years ago. Neeters Miao Dances Khaki a-go-go Comments on the design or animation are welcome as usual. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll171/mlim888/NeetersJum...
