Maybe your hierarchy got spoiled from copying. Try to set the bones yourself. There is not so much about it. You have to make a kind of bone frame around the face first, then adding bones for the parts you want to move. Check the hierarchy with the hierarchy tool and adjust the bone strength. Set th...

Thanks a lot for your advice, myles & T. Yes, I overlooked that creating rectangles and circles includes "auto-outline", which I can uncheck. But with the add-tool there is no such option. You can just uncheck auto-fill, but then you have to assign the filling yourself. I looked throug...

styles...set "no outline" as default value?

In the styles window, I can set the default colors for fill/line colors for new shapes, but I can't uncheck the "enable"-boxes. So every new shape has to be selected to clear the outlines. When applying a style without a line to a shape that has originally an outline, the line remains! It ...

If Macromedia was wise it would take its drawing tools from Freehand and put them in Flash...and then add a few surprises, too. YES! The best drawing tools around. But macromedia...what macromedia? Hopefully those Adobe guys will now tell the Flash developers how to create a range of applications w...

hi max, I am new to moho as well, but I think that moho can tween just between shapes with the same number of points. That means, position of points can be animated over time, but not the total number. When you add points at frame 100, it will be there at frame 0! The same way AFter Effects works wi...

2-As far as I can see, libraries are nor that important in moho considering the workflow. We established libraries of 1000-2000 parts in flash, and this used to slow down the computer a lot. Since there are no bones, often complete animated legs, arms had to be kept kept in libraries. In moho you ca...

BigBack, I am ambigous about the future and fate of Freehand. I agree with squeakydave. Maybe Adobe will sell it, Freehand has been sold several times in its life. And this might be to its best. Macromedia has just spoiled this gem. It just can get better again. Freehand has always been my favourite...

What about using Quicktime? Here you should be able to use any Codec QT delivers, including DV (or better, a lossless codec like animation).

I recently imported 10 simple rectangles, 1 layer, ai8, and it took moho about 2 minutes to import.
Well, my machine is a G4/733, not the fastest nowadays, but here you can see that AI import IS slow. I am afraid we just have to live with it.

Suggestion: Classic drawing tool

After moaning about the lack of a "normal" drawing tool in the feature request, I suppose this could be done with a script. Hope you will not blame me for double posting. Suggestions in 2 steps: 1. Add a PEAKED modifier key to the "add point" tool. 2. Something like this: -set a ...

Uh! Oh! Hi Andy! If I knew you would pop up here, I would'nt have been so... direct! Well, maybe I should have studied your actual feature list before posting. To defend myself: at least I mentioned that my knowledge is slightly outdated, and - your website is not very descriptive. I know you...

Uh, I see. In this case it IS a feature request! Please, please include a "pen" tool. Simple clicking creates a curve point on a new path segment, alt-click creates an edge point. (Bonus: command-drag lets you finetune the position while drawing.) This is what I would call the most basic d...

Celaction report

Sorry for digging this out, but if anybody is still interested... I've done animation for a 20 min. feature in celaction. This was in 2003, so the app might have evolved slightly. We had a 3-day-training, directed by Andy Bladzell himself, and it took 1-2 weeks to get familiar with most aspects of t...

How do you use the drawing tool?

This seems to be a quite stupid question, but... I can't find a "set point" drawing tool!? When I get the tutorial right, it is meant to create shapes by using the "add point" tool. So click - drag - release - click - drag...etc. Afterwards select edge points and create edges. Is...
