Possibility of IK and Bones in future versions of Flash

Post by wizaerd »

From the latest Cartoon Solutions Newsletter

"At the latest Adobe Max conference there was a demo of Inverse Kinematics (IK) or "Bones" as a possible feature in the next release of Flash.

What does these exactly mean? Well, it means that you could create a character in Flash and then assign a "bone" system to the characters body parts so that you can push and pull limbs and have them stay together as you create poses and animations. It means that once your character is "rigged" you could pull and drag the hand of the character and the rest of the arm would follow!

As users of Anime Studio have already come to experience, "bones" can be an amazing aid when it comes to animation. To have this feature available in Flash would be HUGE! I am so excited for this and can hardly wait for the next release! "
