My book to learn to draw with AS

Post by p6r »

Here is a screenshot of my actual project : A book for Kids and beginners to learn to draw with AS (standard or Pro)...
As a teacher it's important for me to help children too drawing on easy ways...
And if you have children... you won't be anymore the only one to draw with Anime Studio... which becomes so a program for the whole family !!!

You can discover it as a swf file in a comic book reader here (click on the double page to launch it like a book and to turn the pages with the mouse or with the arrows !) :

Or discover it in a pdf format :

That's a great idea!!
I wish you the best with this project.
Are you planning to sell it or distribute freely?

Cheers!

That's a great idea, I like the flipbook version very much, I think it will appeal to kids as well!
Good luck with your project!

Thanks for your comments...

@ Genete :
Maybe I could sell it (at a very low cost) through e-frontier... If they are interested !?! :D

@ Ulrik :
The flipbook gives another effect which can be good for children... You're right !

@ Mikdog :
I hope you won't be disappointed !!!

It's a good idea, I can't wait to see more, and it's a nice effect. I'd want to know more about drawing in AS (I currently prefer Illustrator), especially since Greykid seems to get some nice line qualities out of their designs.

@ slice11217 :
Don't forget : It isn't a book to learn to use AS but it's a book to learn to DRAW... with the help of AS and its fantastic tools which allow everyone to draw without being a professional !
I will show simple technics, through a SLOW progression, for non-cartoonists and kids to use into a drawing program or manually ! I have the project to make such a book for AS, TAB and traditional work (freehand).
But will my dreams become a reality ??? :?

@ DK :
All what you see on the cover is made directly in AS !!! (+ a screenshot imported into an image layer to rotate it)
I only have used the fill effect "splotchy" (Style window -> Fill color -> Effect 1 -> Splotchy) and I have played on the magnitue (16) and the scale (64) !

Yes...

I make a lot of tests to be more efficient especially for kids... I don't want to use a lot of words because the children dont' want to read thousands lines of explanations.
(And it's better for me to avoid faults in english... because i'm french !!!)

If I can reach my aim I will translate the book in french and in german (my first foreign language !)

My 9-years old son will be the beta-tester !!! :D
