Trouble binding points to bones

I am having some problems trying to bind some points of a layer to a couple of bones.
I have created the bones (one moves the other), and then tried to bind them following the tutorial (select bone, assign points, press space, press ALT for next bone, select it, assign points, press space), but for some reason the bones won't move a single point.

Am I doing anything wrong? Is there any specific cause to this behaviour?

Well, the funny thing is that another layer identical is correctly binded, and if I open a new file and try it, everything is correct. Now, why don't this stupid bones bind what they are told to?

In fact, when I select them, the points assigned to them are shown, but when I try to move the bone, just it moves, not the points.

Weird.

Got it. For some reason, I had binded the layer to another bone. Releasing the layer made it.
