hi there.
I'm new to the software, so please be kind hehe.
I'm trying my first animation in AE, but something is annoying me: when I play the preview inside AS my animation keeps on cycling back to frame 1 when the timeline passes 74 frames, but the funny thing is that there are more keyframes left, after that.
Also, I have noticed a blue bar that is present only till frame 74.
thanx for any help. I'm sure it's a dumb question, but I'm still learning...
best wishes

That blue bar is the length of your animation.starchild wrote:hi there.

If you go to >File< >Project Settings< you will see lines that tells you what frame your animation starts and ends.
The default is 72 frames. Any keyframes outside of the blue bar won't be played in the animation cycle.
You must set the blue bar to however long you want your animationcycle to be.
I didn't know that. Thanks Shawn.
Did you know on a Mac if you hold the option key while clicking beyond the blue bar it will also extend the blue bar to where you click on the time line.
However if you click within the bar it will delete back toward the zero frame. But then you can click in the deleted area and insert the blue bar to the point you click on the time line.
I don't know what the the equivilent shortcut key is for the PC. I'm guessing the Alt key.
