Dynamic translation

Post by Genete »

I think in this post there are two tips.
How to perform a traslation of a shape with bones (using rotation) and its aplication to simulate a lineal spring.

It is very simple. One trick is give 0 strength to the roation bones and 1 strength to translation bones. It works!!
You can combine lentgh and position of the rotaing bones to make diferents strokes.

The 50/50 use of bones from heyvern makes me very inspired!!!.
Enjoy.

Yeehaa!

I sort of gave up on rotation with this idea since it didn't work so well with meshes.

Pretty cool! I don't think I would have thought of that trick. Hee hee... I can play with that idea now... mixing rotation and translation... hmm.
