That's one that has been on my "want it' list for several years. I've played with the demo now and then. The interface is a bit confusing to me -too many options overload the brain- but the power woohoo! Lots of cool things can be done. I did use the limited trial version to generate layers and some brushes which I used later in Photoshop.

You can request a new demo password here

They expire it every so often.

i'm not very good in 3d, actually i use it almost only to work with AS (teddy, chameleon and wings are my battle horses).
i saw zbrush and i really loved the way its work, lamentably, i didn't understand anything... how can i turn all the objects Aaraghhhhhhhh!... too difficult to me.

i suppose one time i'll back to zbrush, and i'll count up to ten and will breathe. maybe.

Pixologic send my the right code.
Zbrush seems to be a great apps, too bad that it is expensive and U can't save nothing.
The demo does have too many limitation. :?

You can save as PSD -Photoshop format.

Yes but I save the model (even in the proprietary format) so I should spend hours for model something and lose it any time.
They fear piracy too much just like Animation Master that come without a demo and with a hardware key.
I can 't judge if Zbrush is the apps to me or no in this way.

There is an opensource alternative called Sharp Construct.

Also, there is a new sculpt mode in blender. Not sure if it's in the latest official release or just cvs at this point.

Just out of curiousity, have any of you eying ZBrush looked at Luxology's Modo software?

I've been wanting to get my hands on Modo for a while, though the $900 price tag is a bit intimidating, when you consider that high-end apps like Cinema 4D and Maya can be had for only twice that.

In the meanwhile, I've been using Eovia's Hexagon software, which is somewhat similar to Modo, but not quite as robust in some areas.

I purchased exagon too, because the discount. Later I regret it.
The software is not so easy for me, I need some tools like the Zsphere; otherwise (perhaps a matter of mouse or vga drivers?) I can't do nothing in Exagon.
CBPro seems to be a very good app.
Modo is surely better but at 900 bucks it is really too much.
