If that backdrop is from a 3D modeling app, you might want to see if the app supports a depth of field blurring option. The character looks a bit out of place with the current blurring effect on the backdrop.
Basically, the background should become progressively blurrier toward the horizon while the elements closer to the camera should be sharper. For example, the columns on either side of the character should be blurred at the back, but sharp toward the front.
Another option to consider is the use of distance fog. This helps to prevent a scene from looking too clean. Here's one such example from the series, Azumanga Daioh:
Notice how you can't see completely into the background as your eye gets closer to the horizon? Not only does it seem more believable to the eye, it can help to set the mood of the scene. A fog to a bright color will add a sense of peace and happiness to a scene, while a fog to a dark color will create a sense of tension and fear.
