Change background image on timeline

Post by gdeadtoo »

My animation consists of a character in front of a website that has different tabs. I want to swap the image when the character talks about a new tab. This may be a simple task, but I cant figure out the best way to do this?

TIA

is the stuff on each tab animated or just static text /image?

If "static" then I'd put all the separate tab images in a switch group and select as necessary. If not ... just say

Yeah, Switch layer is the easiest.

Just create the Switch layer and drop or import your 'webpage' images into it. You can use the Switch Selection window to switch between images by adjusting the slider, and it will create a keyframe on the Timeline for you.

If you have animated elements on the webpage, you might want to render the page as an image sequence, and the image sequence can be loaded into the Switch layer. It's not necessary to pre-render the sequence as a separate file, but this can make the project cleaner and easier to work with.

Hope this helps.
