Target Bone acting in the wrong place

Post by shift »

Anyone know what's wrong here? One of my target bones is acting late and I am not sure how to fix it.

Your bone constraint menu didn't show in the video, but I'd guess that that shin bone is being controlled by another bone, since it doesn't look angle constrained in the workspace when selected.

The bone is not controlled by anything else. I also recreated the bone and the target bone and it is still acting the same.

Maybe you can share the file. Delete the vector layers and just share that Bone layer.

I notice you're testing your rig on frame 0, the setup frame. In my experience, you can't reliably test a rig on the setup frame because certain features like target bones only work properly on an actual animation frame. Certain Smart Bone will not work properly on frame 0 either.

By the way, this is one of the reasons we have Design Mode in Moho. This command lets you toggle between any animation frame and the setup frame. In Moho 14, we even have a button under the workspace for it.

Hope this helps.
