Hello, everyone
I'm very happy to finally be able to share the trailer for My father's dragon, the new movie from Cartoon Saloon, directed by Nora Twomey.

Moho played a big role in this project and even in the trailer you can see almost half of the scenes showed have Moho animation on it (sometimes for little elements, textures and props, other for full characters or for even entire scenes)


I supervised the Moho Animation team for this project. They are all very talented and extremely nice people who rigged and animated their scenes with impressive speed and quality. You probably will recognize some of their names: Kim Kelly, Pierre Gombaud, Ahdieh Modarres, Mansour Moawad, Dave Cockburn, Regis Rodríguez and Sarah O'Gorman as Coordinator of the team.

Cartoon Saloon really allowed us to push the boundaries of what Moho can do with this movie. Even when the movie is mainly hand drawn, many of the characters you will see in the screen are actually Moho rigs living with traditional charaters. We put a big effort to make every Moho character feel as alive and hand drawn as possible.
Also, we did a lot of background animation. The entire island is in constant movement and we were in charge of generate all those earthquakes and many other BG animation.
I highlighted some of the Moho elements you can see the in the trailer.

I hope you enjoy the trailer and can watch the movie once it's released this November 11th on Netflix. Also, I hope we will be able to show you some behind the scenes soon

We are very excited it will finally be released. It has been a hard and fun project. An emotional ride just like the movie itself
Last Saturday we had a screening and a party here in Kilkenny. Many people who worked remotely during the entire project came to Ireland and in the Moho team we had the luck to receive Pierre and finally meet Dave in person! It has been a lot of fun

A huge CONGRATULATIONS are in order sir. You mean to tell me I have to re-subscribe to Netflix again - lol.

The animation has the quality feel that makes for a good film. I'm looking forward to watching it when it comes out.

Cool! Colorful and fantastic!! Looking forward to seeing this. Awesome job all around, great work. As a side note kudos to the voice acting as well. To me (personally) the voices can make or break a film, and this definitely make it! Very professional and believable. Will be watching this!

Starting tomorrow November 4th, there will be a short time in which you can watch the movie at some cinemas in Ireland, UK and USA.
