Small trailer for a book

Post by terry7th »

Here's a small trailer I did for a book to be released later in 2022.

Hope you like it.

Artistically wonderful, but the shadows vs the parallaxing background felt a bit odd.

Thanks SimplSam.

Yes they are odd, but done on purpose. The illustrations in the book have a diorama approach and so depths are not real world. They kinda have a look of their own.

Very well done! Quite perfect movements, and I understood that diorama setting at first sight (maybe because I've worked in a museum for some time).

Thanks slowtiger. And, great to hear from a museum person that they saw the diorama approach to the animation. That certainly made my day.

A genuinely magical feel to the animation. That's a lot more difficult than it looks (and it already looks difficult!)
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Thanks jahnocli.
Yeah, it's always the simple things that take the most time. I'm used to the easy sliding things, as per the witch animations, this was certainly challenging for me, which was a good thing.

Loved it!! It has such style and that classic fairy tale motion. The flowers movement, bouncing butterfly etc

Just excellent

Same as jahnocli simply magical, very nice!
