Is there a way I could open old Moho files in Moho 12, without any intermediate version available?
I mean… very old versions. Moho 5.x for example…

Have you tried it? I think it might just work.

There's a little confusion because of the name change: Very old files are named file.moho, and very new files are file.moho. In between, there was .anme. MOho 12 might try to open a Moho 5 file in the new format, which won't work. You might need to rename your old file to file.anme to get Moho 12 to recognize it as an old file. Or, it might just work. I tried to push for identifying files via the internal header, not by file extension, but I'm not sure if that's how it was handled for very old files.

Moho 12 tries to open legacy *.moho files, it doesnt work and this is what we get:



However, it works nicelly when file is renamed to *.anme.

just curious --- the "curve" algorithm changed sometime around versions 5/6/7 -- did Moho 12 automagically pick the right one? (i.e. do the paths look right?)

I would assume Moho would use legacy curves for older files, like I think it does for older imported objects.

I have just tested it with a file created 12 years ago with Moho 5.
I found that Moho 12 makes the perfect convertion, including curves.
All functions and features appear to be updated, at least as far as I could test by now.
