Importing FBX file into Unity 5 from Anime Studio 12 Pro (Mo
Hi,
I am having as issue exporting FBX files made in Moho 12 (Anime studio 12 Pro) to Unity 5. Please allow me to explain -
1. I created an animation in Moho 12 (a simple man dancing). At the beginning of the animation I offset his limbs and bones so one limb would not affect the other.
2. Of course I put his limbs back together and did animation from frames 1 to 40. Everything is perfect from frames 1 to 40.
3. I exported the animation as an FBX file.
4. I imported thee FBX file to Unty 5.
My problem -
When I view the FBX file in Unity all his limbs and offset (i.e. his limbs are separated for the entire animation).
Anyone ever experienced this problem in Unity 5? Any ideas of what can be done?
I have uploaded the FBX and MOHO file at these links in the event anyone wants to take a look

There is an 'FBX Preview Mode' under the View menu item. Did you check your animation with that before exporting?
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Hi Jahnocli,
To check my animation I usually press the play button. However based on what you just told me I went to View > FBX Preview Mode and nothing happens. I assume when I click FBX Preview Mode a next window needs to come up? But I swear to you nothing happens. I am really new to Moho 12 as you can see.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Jahnocli,
I checked it. The FBX preview is fine. I have uploaded the FBX and MOHO files at the links below. If you or anyone could take a look I'll appreciate it greatly,

Re: Importing FBX file into Unity 5 from Anime Studio 12 Pro
All the png files you used were missing from the download, so I couldn't see anything. Do you have a file structure where the Moho file can find the images? If you know how to zip up a directory structure you could set up a zip file for download; other wise, set up a new directory, and drop in your Moho file and all your png images. You'll have to reset all the paths in Moho, but you could then zip them all up, put the zip file up for download and anyone (maybe me!) could then try to troubleshoot this.

Re: Importing FBX file into Unity 5 from Anime Studio 12 Pro
Hi Jahnocli,
Ok I think I did this correct. What I did I saved the Moho File inside the folder containing all the PNG images. I also put the FBX file in the same folder. I wasn't sure if the Moho file has to go inside the Folder with the PNG or it had to be a seperate file linking back to the folder.
So to summarize inside the zipped folder at the link:
http://www.filedropper.com/draculazipped
you will find -
1. 1 folder
2. the 1 folder contains all the PNG files, Moho File and the FBX file
Thanks again very much. If you need anything else please so ask.

Thanks -- I can now see all the images. You are right; with FBX Preview turned on, the Preview Animation screen does not show any problems. I have found a couple of youTube videos that could explain some of the problems you are having better than I can (they're both fairly short)...Take a look at these and come back here if you still have issues:
FBX exports from Moho:
FBX File Export for Use in Unity
Anime Studio to Unity Presentation
...and something else you might find useful:

I'm having the same issue.
Bone offset doesn't appear to be supported by the FBX export, but it doesn't get disabled using FBX Preview Mode, so you don't discover this until you try and bring it into Unity.
And then you cry and shake your fist at the heavens.
