ASPro 11 imported audio changes pitch

Hello verybody,

I have to deal with a strange bug:
When I import audio files, they change pitch. They are slower.
The same audio files worked fine days ago but now they have that problem. Even if I reimport them, create a new file - same thing. It is a problem because they are voice files and I have to lip synch.

Anyone has an Idea what this is?

Do you have "Enable frame skipping" on? Have you recently edited the audio files?

Hello, thanks for answering.

No the audio files were not edited.
I didn't knew about the enable frame skipping feature. What it is ? Where can I find it to see if it is enabled?

In the menu Animation>Allow Frame Skipping

If you didn't know about it, it's probably enabled...so probably no help. Can you share the problem file?

Ah, now I found it. It was not enabled. I enabled it. and now...Audio works! Altough it seems that theres still a slightly slower pitch. But, okay, I could live with that.
But what does this "enable frame skipping exactly ?

Anyway, I packed the whole folder with the file and its contents into a zip and put it in my public dropbox:

Thnaks a lot for your help

Diana

Glad you got it sorted, Diana. Frame skipping means that AS will skip showing some frames as it plays in order to play the animation closer to full speed. But in a large project, even this may not be 100% possible, which is probably why it's still slightly slower. Disabling dynamic bones (below frame skipping) can help too, if you are using dynamics.

Usually frame skipping is enabled by default, but I guess it wasn't in your case. Glad I could help.

There was no audio in that file that I could test here, but it sounds like you've got it working.
