It should work. At work I did something similar a couple of weeks ago for 'wind' lines. It wasn't exactly the same thing because I needed the wind elment to break frame, but with Guyver93's settings I imagine the effect should look like horizontal speed lines.

Okay, now I'm eager to try it.

O.K. one more tutorial that goes with the speed lines and this one is motion blur. I didn't intend to make so many on speed lines but I get questions relating to what I've made I like to answer them in the best way possible and a lot of times that means making another video! This is just an add one to speed lines and that is adding a motion blur to your character as well! Enjoyiiieee!!!
