dia de los muertos!
I don't know if AS was used to make this, but it could have been!
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
Re: dia de los muertos!
Whether Anime Studio was used or not, it's an inspiring piece. Very "cut-out" style but with exceptional use of depth. Good find, thanks for sharing!

Most likely this is a combination of 3D and AFX. I like the motion blurs very much, wish I had something with this quality and animatable controls in AS.

Yes, my guess is 3D. There are some things that are just easier to do with dedicated 3D software. This could absolutely be done in Anime Studio, but it would make more sense to do it in 3D if you have the tools. Not a dig at any lack of 3D in Anime Studio, to me it's like trying to fit a square block in a round hole.
Re: dia de los muertos!
I think the basic animation (without motion blur) could've been done in AS without much trouble - after my last 3D experience I'm quite confident about it. It's done completely with flat planes without volume, and I especially like how he reveals this while the characters turn around like paper cutouts - which refers to paper skeletons in Mexico nicely.

This is a fabulous animation! Love the style. I suppose it could have been 3D, but to me it has more the look of photography, as in stop motion photography. Whatever method was used, it is very effective, engaging and entertaining. I like this a lot.
