Company well known for its 3D animation and 2D animation software will be debuting its entry into the full 2D animation software area with bones and z depth like ToonBoom Studio. Release date is sometime in November.

There appears to be more competition on the horizon.

Guess...

I'll give you another clue. The 2D animation program they have now and have had for several years doesn't do body animation only facial and object sprite movements. This is why it is going to be their first 2D animation 1.0 release. This product will have bones and z-depth layering like ToonBoon. I assume you will be able to do fly through just like in ToonBoom as a result.

Their 3D animation software has been around for several years as well and is quite recognized. There have been many a film made with it.

Coming in November 2010...

Wasting my time.
Not casting this software in a favourable light.
If I wanted to be teased with software features which don't satisfy, I'd be an Anime Studio user (see what I did there?)

Seriously though, frustrating thread which I;d argue is spam and should be locked, deleted otherwise spurned.

Again, why did you bother posting this?

Their published feature matrix doesn't seem to indicate anything near "full 2D animation".

I'm guessing you were a beta tester, and under a non-disclosure agreement. And, you seem to have disclosed prior to official release, even if it was a pitiful attempt at it.

You're about 13 years old, right?

My, my, my...such high anxiety over here. The product isn't even released yet and demo videos are still it the works. Funny, that we are already receiving reviews on a product that has never been released!
