Hey,
I've made another screencast - it shows how to set up the 'la linea' scene as well as shows a strategy to rigging simple character and building a walk basic cycle. I then explain Selgin's bone locking technique and what it's for... hope you guys find it useful! :)

Nice tutorial. Watched many times. I had Selgin's file, but was unable to use. Now I can use it. Thanks for sharing the technique.
