Post by AmigaMan »

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but a search didn't reveal anything.
I noticed last week that Freakish Kid's excellent Cluckie The Vampire Chicken episodes are now posted on YouTube....

Yikes! I hope I haven't done anything wrong by drawing attention to these? I was so excited when I stumbled upon them and colleagues were so impressed I wanted everyone to see :D I'm sure this post can be deleted if required?

Not at all mate. It's cool.

Just a shame the timings screwed up and colours are washed out.

Well, that's YouTube for you. It still looks fantastic anyway so I wouldn't worry too much :D

Hi..
Thumbnails and basic slugging was done on paper. With a pencil and stopwatch. Thats where you get the basic meat worked out.

Storyboard drawn up pretty loose in Flash.

Animatic was After Effects.

Animation was all AS.

Compositing was done in Combustion.

cheers

The backgrounds are beautifully done. I wonder if you'd mind describing your technique for creating them. I believe you use Illustrator for the main drawing/painting and refine them in Photoshop?

They are created in Photoshop, some elements are done with Flash but the majority of work on them is PS.
