Need help identifying software used to create anime

You're right. I just watched a couple of the short takes and it is 2D. But that gun and a couple of other things look like 3D objects. Which could very well be.

Yeah, the anime is 2d/3d mixed but i don't think the gun is 3d. Wikipedia says it uses 2d digital cell animation but i refuse to believe it.

This doesn't really concern this topic in general, but for that "naruto shippuden" image, you can see that the actual anime version is blurred (in ASP just raise the blur radius of the vector or image layer by something around 5).
