Anime Studio is a powerful software. BUT it lacks on the most important animation style, Frame By Frame/Traditional Animation. Like, how they made a sequencer, why not add another tab for Frame by Frame?

I totally agree with this request.
I think it should be a new layer type. Similar to image layer, but FBF. It should have its own proprieties, like onion skin intensity and duration, cycles, brushes, resolution, etc.
An important think to debate is the velocity on painting. Many bitmaps softwares (like photoshop, for example) are powerful but drawing on them is a nightmare. In my opinion they should take look at TVpaint and Sai paint tool. A good use of computer resources would be awesome.

I agree as well.
AS developers should worry more about improving AS FBF features instead of adding more 3d tools.

'Frame by frame' with 'onion skin' would be such a useful feature.

Yep. Been asking for this for years, not so sure it'll happen. Sigh. As a result I bought Toon Boom Animate 2. So I'm sorted for now but I sure think it'd be cool to be able to do it all in AS.

Agreed, ASP is brilliant for rigging, 3D, particles, point-level animation, effects animations... But character animation, surprisingly, I consider to be one of its weaker points.

Being able to quickly sketch out poses and then capturing their energy and spontaneity in the vectors would be a complete game-changer for ASP.

Agreed, this topic could have had a poll.
So far it looks unanimous.

Interestingly enough, Messiah Studio 5.0 now has a special overlay layer that allows you to sketch poses, here's a link (go to New > Sketch).
A piece of 3D software has managed to add this before a dedicated 2D animation app. Come on guys.

Agreed. I'd like to see FBF features.

I use version 6 and didn't buy version 7 because the new physics and 3D features are not features I need.

But I would buy a new version with FBF features.

Also, some of the more useful scripts on this forum should be standard tools, not something I need to discover, research, download and install.
